Data Sources and Attribution

Last updated 8 August 2026

Breezy Weather is built on open data. This page credits the sources and records the licence terms they are used under, as those licences require.

Open-Meteo

Forecasts, hourly and daily conditions, air quality and place search come from Open-Meteo, which aggregates data from national weather services including NOAA, DWD, Meteo-France and ECMWF.

Open-Meteo data is offered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Their free API tier is intended for non commercial use within published request limits.

US National Weather Service

Severe weather alerts, watches and warnings come from the National Weather Service via api.weather.gov, a public service of the United States Government. The information is open data, free to use for any purpose, subject to reasonable rate limits.

Breezy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official channel of the National Weather Service, NOAA or any government agency. Alerts are reproduced for convenience and may be delayed or incomplete. The official source always takes precedence.

Windy

The live radar map is an embedded widget from Windy.com, used under their embed terms. The map, its data and its branding belong to Windy and its own data providers.

Vercel

This site is hosted on Vercel.

Software

Breezy Weather is written from scratch in HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no third party frameworks, no external libraries and no bundled dependencies. All icons and illustrations were drawn for this project. There is no open source package licensing to disclose.

Our own work

The Breezy Weather application, its interface, code, logo and written copy are Copyright Ideas to Integers and are not covered by the licences above. See the Terms of Service for what you may and may not do with them.

Not affiliated

Breezy Weather is an independent project by Ideas to Integers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any other application, open source project or company that uses a similar name.
